How to get rid of acne?

I have some acne for a while, and it’s starting to scar. How do I get rid of it before it gets worse? I’ve tried proactive, and it worked for a while, but then got infected. I tried clean and clear, but it made my skin sore and red. I tried stridex pads, they work alright, but no real results. Is there ANYTHING proven to work with everyone?!

  1. Unfortunately, there is no one thing that works for everyone. We all have different skin and resistances and sensitivities to certain things. I had bad acne for years until I took the medication Accutane. It worked wonders but it had a lot of side affects. A few years after I stopped taking it, the acne started to come back. I did some research online and tried a product line called Exposed Skincare. http://www.exposedskincare.com It worked like a charm! I literally saw a difference overnight. No joke! I was really skeptical at first but now I would totally do their commercial! The products have a lot of natural botanical ingredients. It works because it uses salicilic acid, which is used to slough away dead skin and expose the pores. It also uses benzoyl peroxide which kills the bacteria down in the pores. I hope you’ll try this product. Also, drink LOTS of water. Your body will flush out as many toxins as it can and drinking water will aid this process. Good luck!

What works for me is washing my face every night with Cetaphil, wash, and after drying my face i put on the cetaphil lotion.
Not only is it good for the acne problem, but it also gives you sof skin.

  3. you should visit your family doctor or a dermatologist. mild antibiotics are usually prescribed. You may build a tolerance to them and stronger antibiotics may be prescribed. Accutane is for extreme cases that do not respond to other antibiotics. 95% of all patients respond to antibiotics. If you are a teen, your acne will probably go away in your early 20s. If you are in your early 20s and just starting to get acne, you probably have adult acne which can go on well into your 30s and 40s.

I did not have acne as a teen. I got it in my early 20s. I am 46 and still take antibiotics daily to prevent outbreaks.

    Good luck!
